Class Cancelled: Monday, 10 October

I am out of town and having car trouble. It's after 1:00 a.m., so I won't make it in for class and office hours tomorrow.

Take the time between Monday and Wednesday to get caught up on any missed assignments.  If you are caught up, you can practice pre-writing and drafting a five paragraph essay.  Pick one of these topics:

Why are so many people over the age of twenty-one entering college? Discuss.
Are elementary and high schools adequately meeting the needs of their students? Discuss

What do you hope to accomplish within the next ten years? Explain

Class Canceled, Wednesday, 5 October

Class is cancelled for today, Wednesday, 5 October.  I am not feeling well.

For Friday, finish the draft of your five paragraph essay.  Also for Friday, pre-write and draft a five paragraph essay on the topic of how to help students succeed in college.  Remember to go through all the steps of pre-writing and drafting.  This essay is about taking the time to practice every step along the way.  Try using Google Documents for your pre-writing and drafting.  Keep track of any questions that crop up as you work, and we can tackle these questions on Friday.
